Knee Pain Treatment
Heat is an effective and safe treatment for most aches and pains. You could use a wheat bag, heat pads, deep heat cream, hot water bottle or a heat lamp.
Hip Pain Treatment
Arthritis. Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis are among the most common causes of hip pain, especially in older adults. The pain gradually gets worse.
Shoulder Pain Treatment
Injured shoulders should be iced for at least 72 hours, or until the swelling has reduced. Tense or tight shoulders can get relief from heat, but be careful not to use heat on any swollen injuries.
Back Pain Treatment
A person can use hot and cold packs to reduce swelling and soothe the pain. People use ice packs directly after an injury, such as a strain. Applying an ice pack wrapped in a towel directly to the back can reduce inflammation.
Sports Injury Treatment
Anti-inflammatory medication, such as ibuprofen, can treat sports injuries. This type of medication can help to reduce pain and inflammation. Other types of medication, such as corticosteroids, may also be prescribed.

The most common treatments for arthritis include traditional oral medications like analgesics and NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). Other common treatments include corticosteroid injections.
